New Coffee Stamps

New digital stamps have just been added to Graciellie Design’s website, including 2 coffee/tea sets just in time for the occasion: Hugs in a Mug and Tea Bag Quotes. I’m using both for today’s card!

Layering and Printing the Stamps

Hugs in a Mug can be colored either as coffee or tea. For my card I went for the tea theme because I couldn’t help using this cute tea bag from the add-on mini set! The images were printed with an inkjet printer on smooth medium weight white cardstock. Inkjet works great with alcohol markers! The fun part about these sets is they come with interactive sentiments you can layer on the coffee cup, plate’s rim and tea bag tag! There are so many different combinations you can get!

I colored the digis with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers… (I’m sharing the coloring recipe on the supplies list.) If you wanna watch how I almost messed up the coloring process click HERE.

Card Layout

Joining Coffee Lovers blog is always a celebration so I had to make this card sparkle and pop with color! I used WOW’s embossing pen to add gold embossing detailing around the plate’s rim and tea bag tag. I fussy cut the tea cup to attach separately on top of a second teacup print. I used 3D foam tape to attach it (same with the tea bag) and although that was not the original idea it turned out amazing with all the dimension from both the coloring and the tape!

Finishing off with Sparkle

I inked the background using distress inks and then I used double sided tape to create a stripes across the card base. Next I poured away this stunning WOW embossing powder that has a mix of color and mica and glitter! Swoon!

  1. Wonderful especially with color, shading & sparkle. Definitely tea theme for coloring. Enjoying my Twinings English Breakfast Tea latte.

  2. The colors and design make me feel the warmth of a good cup of coffee. I can almost smell it. Obviously I would color it coffee.

  3. I drink more coffee than tea, but I also love tea. I tried milk in my tea when I was in England recently–I used to think it would be a horrible combination–and I LOVED it. It cuts the acid. If I were to color your image, I would color it as tea….

  4. Ooh! Tough choice. I drink coffee every morning, followed by 2 big ol’ cups of tea most days. I guess tea wins 2:1 then most days? Though sometimes I do the opposite and have 2 cups of coffee and 1 tea or even a coffee, a cold brew (soy milk, please!) and skip the tea. So wait…what was the question? 😉 I guess I have to say tea, just so I can use that adorable tea bag stamp, too!

  5. Love your card! Had to watch the coloring to see how to do it but I’m not very good with digital designs yet. Just getting started. Thanks!

  8. Oh my gosh what a gorgeous card!!! I love the sparkle, will have to get an embossing pen. I had one, but it’s probably dried out. Thank you for the inspiration! I usually drink iced coffee, but love peach iced tea. Thank you for being a Super Sponsor. I love your work!

  11. Beautiful card. I would colour my stamps as if they are tea since I have more tea loving friends. I prefer a morning coffee and a nice chai tea in the afternoon.
