The weekend is here and I’m excited to be back with one more coffee card idea to share! The Spring / Summer 2021 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is coming to an end. The team and I want to say THANK YOU to Amy who organizes the event and to all her amazing followers for all the love and the kind comments… We are always happy to be a Super Sponsor and this hop was no exception! We were also excited to see how much you loved our new Spring Coffee Cup Digital Stamp Set! (Have you gotten a chance to play with it yet?)
We haven’t stopped sharing caffeinated inspiration over at Instagram & Facebook. In fact, we went live yesterday to share a bit more on the gouache technique I used on my card for the hop (See HERE). We shared a few useful tips and painted a couple of coffee cups live… Fun times… (Watch the replay HERE.) Anywho, today’s card was made with one of the coffee cups colored in the live video plus a couple more I painted later that afternoon!

Spring Coffee Cup Digital Stamp Set
Canson Mixed Media Paper
Samsung Laser Printer Xpress M2020W
Marie’s Gouache Paints
Staedtler Waterbrushes
Simple Stories Hello Summer
We R Memory Keepers Mini Evolution Machine
GK Dot Runner Adhesive by Therm O Web
Deco Foil Foam Adhesive Sheets by Therm O Web
To make this card I printed 3 coffee cups and a sentiment on Canson Mixed Media paper using a laser printer. I heat set the toner and then painted the coffee cups using gouache in pink, yellow and light brown. Once they dried I came back in with white gouache adding polka dots to create a fun pattern.

For the final design I used a light brown leather textured card base, that I then layered with patterned paper from Simple Stories Hello Summer Collection. I attached the coffee cups scattering and offsetting them around the background. The remainding coffee cup pieces cut from the card base edge were used to fill in gaps.

Finally, I die cut the sentiment into a stitched circle and cut a second layering circle from gold metallic cardstock. I mounted the sentiment on the center of the card layout allowing the patterned paper and coffee cups to show around the edge. Such a fun and easy to achieve design!
