Happy Wednesday! The one thing I love about mornings is it gives me the feeling of a fresh start… Today is an even more special day because we are celebrating our brand new digital release and it is oh so fun and filled with inspiring sentiments and cute images! Three new digi stamp sets have been released today. Click here to take a peek!
This time I’m featuring the new Stay Strong! This set comes with 2 high quality handdrawn images, a fun Frappuccino and a modern floral to mix and match, plus 7 happy and inspiring sentiments.
Make a Shaker with a Digital Stamp
This card din’t come easy, and I’ll tell you why… This lovely Frappuccino is one of those images that gives you so much freedom since you can color it however you like… I’ve seen every color and every flavor of frappuccinos around and so all the options made me take longer, as I couldn’t decide how to color this lovely stamp! Nevertheless, I found this background on my scrap bin, and that grounded my ideas.
I colored the Frappuccino with Arteza Markers in Bubble Bath Pink, Periwinkle, Wisteria Purple and Amaranth Pink. I made the coloring look like the actual topping on iced coffee melting in the whipped cream and inside the Frappuccino. I’ve been playing a lot with this coloring idea and it works with any and every color you want to use for the coffee cup! Finished the coloring with dots here and there using fineliners, a white gel pen and a silver oil based marker.
The background is made from pieces of a printed Mixed Media Sheet, that I then foiled with Silver Deco Foil and next colored with watercolors. The pattern I printed on the sheet is quite distressed and printing it through a laser printer allowed me to run it through a laminator and foil it. The sheet is easy to tear and that is how I made the three pieces that I adhered across an A2 card panel with Mixed Media Adhesive. Finally I added pieces of Tim Holtz washi tape across the background… Love the final look, with the words on the washi. It looks quite graphic!
The heart on the center of the Frappuccino had me thinking about doing some paper piercing (which I tried and looked really nice), but then I felt like making a shaker out of the heart would be cute! This is something you can make with all your digi stamps that have a particular shape within the image. I used a Titanium Craft Knife from Westcott to cut out the heart, adhered a piece of Deco Foil Clear Toner Sheet acetate, followed by a double layered strip of foam tape and a bunch of pretty Ariel sequins from Unity Stamp Co.

Gracie, I am brand new to your blog & just subscribed as I love what I see. I came by way of Heidi who posted a beautiful card using your digital images. I’ve looked & looked at the three new ones & it isn’t easy to choose one over the other, but here goes… Obsessively Thankful is my choice. Being grateful for the small things is just as important as being grateful for the big things. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us!
