Video Tutorial: Ombre Foil-Mates Cards with Gina K. Designs & Therm O Web

I’m back with another fun Deco Foil tutorial, this time using Foil-Mates to create ombre backgrounds for cards. It doesn’t get easier than this! The technique is simple and will help you create perfect ombre cards every time.

Video Tutorial

I prepared a video tutorial so you can follow me as I create this card. Make sure to click here and visit Therm O Web’s blog where I’m sharing the complete list of supplies. If you love colorful rainbow cards, this colorful obre technique is great for you! Of course, this technique will also work with different inks to create more muted color transitions. Final Tips

Foil-Mates are very easy to use. They are black toner ink prints that come ready to use in a pack. One Foil-Mates sheet will give you two A2 card panels and to foil them all you need to do is place a piece of Deco Foil transfer sheet and run it through you laminator. It’s that easy. For better results, Therm O Web recommends adding a cardstock shim under your Foil-Mates sheet, to add more pressure and help the foil transfer evenly to your background. This tip works great for me so I thought I’d share it with you!

That’s all for today. Thanks so much for visiting. Before I go, here is another fun idea using Foil-Mates that I share recently:
