Today I’m sharing an egg-stra special card created for Our Daily Bread Designs. I’m excited about the fun and lovely new release. I love the new Easter stamps, dies and papers… They’re just perfect. This week our challenge at ODBD is a Sketch, and I decided to make an interactive card!
It seems like an ordinary card until you open it… It’s a sweet Easter pop-up card, created with stamps and a die from the new release. First thing I did is cut and score the inside flap for the basket on the white card base. Once done I worked on the card design based on the sketch.
I decorated the front of the card with lace, ribbon and lots of dies including the new Grass Border die. The new coordinating papers add so much loveliness to the card. I layered the large doily with a smaller doily like label that is actually from a Christmas die set. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on vellum, die cut with a small circle die and adhered on top of the small label. I finished the front of the card with a small bow and a gold vintage button.
I stamped the basket and colored it with soft hues of brown. I stamped some eggs on patterned paper and fussy cut and adhere them to the basket. I also added a second sentiment that I stamped and heat embossed in gold on top of the basket.
