Autumn Simplicity

Hello everyone! It’s time for a new challenge at Classy Cards ‘n Such: 1-2-3 Use 1 of something, use 2 of something, use 3 of something. I went for a clean and layered, male, fall design in green and brown. For my card I used one embellishment (bow), two stamps (pear and sentiment) and 3 die cuts from Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A.

First I stamped the pear image and the sentiment with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black on off white leather textured cardstock. These classic looking stamps are from Inky Antics’ Holy Spirit’s Fruit set. Once done, I used the out of the box technique to die cut a small label leaving part of the pear image outside of it. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers from their Greens set. The texture of the cardstock gave the pear a nice texture, but it almost doesn’t show on the photo. I also stenciled the label with Distress Ink in Peeled Paint.

I adhered the central label on a light brown label, which was also added to a larger patterned layer. I printed the digital paper on White Pearl Linen. I ran across a strip of gross grain ribbon in light brown across the center of the patterned layer (vertically) and tied a little bow under the main label. I used a light brown card base that ties everything together to perfection.

Please join our challenge this week for a chance to win a special prize. And remember to click on the items’ links above to check them out on the Classy Cards ‘n Such store.

Thanks so much for your visit.
