Hello! Last weekend was full of crafty fun here at my blog and besides all the DT projects I shared with you there was also a giveaway (there’s still time to comment). So stay tuned because later today I will be announcing the winner of my digital paper pack Tea Rose, right here below this post.
Today I have a new project for Hiding in my Craft Room using a lovely digital stamp from our sponsor Scrapper’s Delights (the actual logo image). This week they will be giving away 3 digital images to a lucky winner!
Our challenge for this week is a color challenge, using Stampin’ Up’s So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, and Regal Rose. You can use similar colors from any other company, as long as you have fun, which is the most important thing for us!
Materials
Scrapper’s Delights – Summer Breeze
Dies: Spellbinders – Fancy Lattice, A2 Matting Basics A, Butterflies Two, Timeless Rectangles. Xcut – Leafy Flourishes.
Spectrum Noir markers – PP3, DR5
Distress ink in Spun Sugar
Adhesives: Bazic two sided tape and foam tape, Elmer’s Glue All
Merletto gems
Other generic materials
Cardstocks: Leather textured in soft pink, Metallic in soft yellow, Smooth in green, Linen in white
Textured Foam in rose red
This A2 card was layered with many die cuts, making of the digital stamp the main focus. The image was partially colored but both the hair and the border of the skirt were fuzzy cut from the same yellow metallic cardstock used on the background. TIP: Because this is a non porous cardstock, what you print on it won’t dry, unless you use a laser printer. But since I have a regular printer, what I did is I heat embossed the digi immediately with clear embossing powder, and voilá. Try this with any non porous cardstock, it works with images and sentiments too, I have even tried it on vellum: here.
After the image was done, I distressed it in soft pink and layered it on textured foam and other layers of cardstock. The butterflies and flourishes were the final touches. I think this would make a perfect birthday card for a girl.
Now that you have seen what I made, it’s your turn to show us what you can make with this color combination. To do so, visit Hiding in my Craft Room, and link up your creation for a chance to win.
Thanks for stopping by!
