Fancy Easter Duckling

It’s Easter week already! This year is going fast. Everyone is probably looking forward to spending some time with their family, going to church, traveling or just enjoying their break at home. On the other hand, us crafters have been busy working on our Easter cards and projects. Today I have a card I made for a sponsor feature day during the Giveaway Party last week. As promised I’ll have all the details for it on this post. Here is my fun Easter duckling card:

Materials
Nearestore – Antoinnette’s Easter

Spellbinders:
– Timeless Rectangles
– A2 Matting Basics
– Grand Calibur die cutting machine
Merletto crystals and gems
Bazic two sided tape
Other generic materials
5/8″ gross grain ribbon in lilac
Specialty pearlescent cardstock in lilac
White cardstock

This card’s concept is based on digital elements from a set called Antoinnette’s Easter, that explains why the duckling is wearing a classic wig. I love how fun, different and unexpected that image is. It was printed in wallet size, framed, and layered over a delicate floral paper from the same set. The outer frame was adhered to a smaller regular cut card base, to ensure stability. The card base is actually pink, you might notice it if you look closely, and it matches the duckling’s feathers perfectly. To finish the design I added some ribbon and pearls. And that’s quite it! I hope you like it. I enjoyed doing it… It’s a fun Easter card for sure.

In other news…

I was accepted in another design team (sounds like a dejavu)… This time I’m honored to be part of Dies R Us Challenge DT. Soon you’ll have a chance to join our challenges (May 1st). Very exciting really! I’m very thankful to Dies R Us for this opportunity.

Continue to have a lovely week… Happy Easter!

  1. Congratulations Gracie. I love your little duck, looks like cotton candy…so soft and cuddly. The frames you used make it appear like a portrait that could be hanging in a museum. Great job. Hope you have a great Easter with you family…don't forget to hide some eggs for your little adventurer.

  6. Oh thank you so much dear friend! My little adventurer had some real life adventures with me at the Mayan ruins and many other archeological and historical places… How about that? lol I remembered you referring to him as my little Indiana Jones… For a few days he really was!
