Clean and Layered?

Hello to all of you! I have explained before that my heart seems to be big enough to love two different totally opposite styles… Even I am amazed with this. Is that right? Is it at all possible to be dual styled? I have no idea… But I feel both come out naturally… It really depends on my mood.

Another thing that you might have noticed as well is that I have a crush with vellum lately… LOL. This time, I wanted to try a shadowing technique, using the same stamp in 2 tones of the same color, or sort. And I stamped the image in reflection to fill the front of the card, it just felt right… I heat embossed the sentiment in gold on vellum, which I stained/distressed in pink.

  1. This is absolutely stunning- perfection! I love every single thing about your card and keep coming back to 'study' it! I see a case in my future!
I do not believe there are any rules about having 1 main card style- and a good thing, too, as I bounce back and forth between 4 or 5 different styles! So glad you shared your work with us this week at The Card Concept!

  2. Hi again Blue Rose! I found 3 different weights of vellum in my country, one being very heavy but still see through, the medium, which I would consider the most used, and then there's a very very light one, that I didn't get, because that one was just a bit thicker than tissue paper.

When I have to heat emboss, I test both medium and heavy, I do prefer the heavy weight vellum, but, nevertheless, it's all in how you apply the heat. Try to move the heat tool constantly and furthest you can, that way you'll preserve the integrity of the paper.
