Exclusive Birthday Stamp Set

I illustrated an exclusive stamp set to commemorate the day… It has a personal meaning but it’s also a “timeless” set of images and sentiments, no pun intended. Fun fact, I was born at 10 AM in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil and the clock on this set is marking my time of birth.

UPDATE: “At the Right Time” digital stamp set has been updated to include separate hour and minute hands so you can layer your own time with the plain antique clock.

Cardmaking How-to

I used a laser printer for every image used on today’s card. The toner allowed me to foil the new Rustic Brick Background with Therm O Web’s Mixed Media Transfer Foil in the color Antique Pearl. Then I partially inked the background with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I used the leftover ink on the brush to distress the outline of the fussy cut floral clock and even the sentiment label. Click below to watch a timelapse of the cardmaking process:

I colored the image with Kuretake Zig Markers and used a little water to blend with the help of a waterbrush. Highlights were added here and there with the help of a white paint Posca pen. For the final layout I die cut a thin scalloped frame using Unity’s Scallops & Rectangles (Nesting Dies) and also die cut the sentiment with Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags One.

  4. Congrats on your, and your artistic birthday!!!!
I just love the new set At the right time!!! So beautiful! It would have been even more fun if we could add the hands of the clock on a time we’d like, for exact birth times or something like that.
But it is a fabulous set!!

    1. Hi Sandra, Because of the layering of the flowers that wouldn’t be possible for that particular image but it is a great idea for the plain antique clock. Let me sleep on it. Thanks so much for your comment.

    2. Hi Sandra! Not sure if you’ll see this but I’ve updated the set to include separate hour and minute hands to layer on the plain antique clock! Be sure to check it out on our shop. Thanks so much for your suggestion!

  5. Happy Birthday.
What a wonderful set and thank you for making it so that it can be used with both the floral or not. I have actually used some of your floral sets for masculine makes because who I was giving it to was a gardener.
But I love your Faith and Encouragement sets. I have been slowly collecting them as they are all so wonderful and I find these types of images hard to come by.

    1. Hi! That is why creating stamp set takes so much time. There’s more than just a beautiful illustration… From fonts to sentiments and even crafting versatility for everyone’s cardmaking purposes! A lot of thought and loves goes behind a new stamp set. Thanks so much for noticing! Crafty hugs.

      1. Hugs to you too. Yes, I can appreciate that making a set is not just about a good idea resulting in a quick and pretty picture! I use my cards to encourage and put positive input into people’s lives, so as you know making a card and getting just the right stamp/picture and combination of sentiments can take a long time too. But like you, I love what I do too and am truly blessed. You and your team too are such a blessing to so many by using the gifts God has given you. Go well and stay strong.
