Yes, it’s a bright new day and it is also a fun one because we are celebrating a brand new release with Gina K. Designs and Therm O Web. The new Fall collection is so pretty and as always very versatile! You’ll be seeing an amazing array of projects and a whole lot of different ideas on how to use these new must-haves! Today we’re also hosting some fabulous giveaways together with Therm O Web and Gina K. Designs so make sure to join everywhere you can! I’ll share more details about that at the end of my post.
Today I’m featuring the oh so sweet and dandy GK Graphic Sunflowers StampnFoil Collection that comes with a clear stamp set, coordinating Foil-Mates Detail Sheets, and dies. I’m also using the brand new GK Bountiful Flourish Foil-Mates background. Two brand new Foil-Mates packs are also being released today, each including 2 different patterns! What’s not to love?!
Step by Step Tutorial using the new GK Fall Collection for Therm O Web
My card for today ended up being quite a surprise for me… I thought it would be hard to transition from Summer to Fall colors, especially after all the bright pastels I’ve been using lately! I’d say it is quite easy to put together a card with these new collections and the patterns and stamps are just so nice to work with! I guess that’s where my inspiration came from, the collection itself!
I used a stamping platform to create my flowers… Although this is not necessary, it definetely helps you stamp accurately and will prevent you from wasting any of your beautiful Stamp ‘n Foil sheets. Next, I’m sharing a step by step tutorial to show you how to make a card like this!
Step 1. Use a sponge dauber to apply two different ink colors to the large sunflower stamp. I used Gina K. Designs Premium Dye ink in Wild Dandelion and Tangerine Twist.
Step 2. Stamp the sunflower, making sure it’s aligned nicely with the Stamp ‘n Foil coordinating sheet.
Step 3. Also stamp the sunflower on patterned paper for a fun variation.
Step 4. Run all the Stamp ‘n Foil flowers through the laminator, covering them with Dazzling Orange and Gold Sequins Fancy Foil sheets. The toner on the Stamp ‘n Foil sheets will make the foil adhere making your stamped flowers extra shimmery!
These new Stamp ‘n Foil sheets come with different flower center images that can be stamped or foiled only. Also, foil several of those for your sunflowers.
Step 5. Once foiled, fussy cut all the flowers and flower stamen images (or use the coordinating die set). Attach the pieces using 3D Zots to make the the center of the flowers pop.
Step 6. Cut one of the new Bountiful Flourish Foil-Mates Background sheet in half and run it through the laminator covered with a piece of Wild Dandelion Fancy Foil.
Step 7. Use the smallest die from the Double Stitch Design Circle Die Set -by Gina K. Designs for Therm O Web- to cut a window from the foiled background. Use Purple Tape to secure the die in place, making sure to cut the window from the bottom right of the background.
Step 8. Use Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink to ink the entire background in black. Wipe off any excess with a paper towel or and repeat for a deeper coverage.
Step 9. Once the background has dried, use it as a guide to stamp your favorite sentiment from the new Graphic Sunflowers Clear Stamp Set on a white card base.
Step 10. Attach all the pieces together using Tape Runner XL and 3D Zots and add a few sequins using Mixed Media Adhesive.
