Lilac Sweetness • Deco Foil Resist Watercoloring + Heart Shaker Window

Hello there. I thought I’d stop by and share with you my latest card using digital stamps from the set Sweetness, this time using lilac as my main color. I posted a video on my IGTV channel (on Instagram) showing how I was planning to put together this card and what I was using for each part of the process. Make sure to check that out if you can!

All the images on this card were printed with a laser printer and foiled in gold. That’s one of my favorite things to do with digis. Once foiled you can color the images pretty much with any medium you like and the foil will resist it. The floral cone was colored with Zig Clean Color brush markers. (Watercoloring works great with this technique.) In the end, I added some Iridescent glitter on the heart using a light coat of Mixed Media Adhesive to make it look like a sugar cookie. So cute!

This is actually a shaker card. I created a heart window for the shaker using a die and cutting the shape out from a piece of patterned paper on my die cutting machine. Instead of acetate I used a Deco Foil Clear Toner Sheet for the shaker. I created a pattern using a digital sentiment stamp from the set Sweetness, copying and pasting it to cover the entire piece and then printed it with a laser printer. The toner from the print activates with heat, so I ran it through my laminator, covered with a piece of Gold Deco Foil and that gave me this custom and coordinating clear cover for the shaker heart. I filled the shaker with lots of different kinds of sequins from Unity Stamp Co. (The prettiest sequins ever!)

To finish my card I added a banner with this fun -and real- sentiment which was also foiled in gold! Additional sequins were adhered around my card front too, because I simply can’t have enough…
