Embrace the Sweetness! New • fresh & fun • Digi Stamps & Inspiration Projects

A happy Summer hello! Today is an extra sweet day because we are releasing 3 new LOVELY digital stamp sets that we are all in love with here at Graciellie Design. The girls and I will be sharing inspiration projects featuring these new stamps and today I wanted to share all I’ve be working on behind the scenes!

Our 3 new digi sets are fresh, fun, all things happy and sweet, and also perfect for Summer. I included lots of meaningful sentiments to these sets so we’ve got you covered for lots of different occasions.

You Matter

You Matter is one of our new digital stamp sets and here is my take using this lovely floral vignette. This flower reminds us a lot of an Ohio Spiderwort! This handdrawn stamp can be resized and aligned to create frames or borders and it comes with beautiful, encouraging sentiments! Printing it oversized and layering it on a patterned background with the same flower gave me the perfect base for a loose watercolored card.

I made a background adding multiple flowers randomly on Photoshop, but you could as well use programs like PicMonkey or even Microsoft Word to achieve this same look! I printed separate flowers that I colored with Zig Clean Color Markers -very loosely- and then fussy cut with Westcott Precision Tip Scissors. I did some ink smooshing using the same markers I used to color the focal flowers and then adhered the fussy cut images using 3D Zots for a simple yet striking layered effect.

For cards like this one I like to keep it simple and so I finished it off with a sentiment banner added across the bottom of the card front and some rhinestone stickers. All these images were printed with a Samsung M2020W Laser Printer and heat set with a heat tool prior to watercoloring.

Sweetness

Next, is probably one of my favorite sets ever. It is called Sweetness and it is an absolute joy to color and play with! It comes with an ice cream bouquet or flower ice cream and some amazing sentiments! I got brand new sequins from Unity Stamp Co. and of course I couldn’t resist making a shaker background! I played with the image again to create a backgound but this time I printed it on Deco Foil Clear Toner Sheets and then ran it through the Laminator with Gold Deco Foil Transfer Sheets to make it look like this. (Best printable acetate I’ve ever tried out! Works great with our digital stamps.)

To put together the shaker background, first of all, I used a patterned paper base from Simple Stories Hello Summer Collection. To adhere the Clear Toner Sheet I added to thin layers of strips of Deco Foil Foam Adhesive that I trimmed using a Westcott paper trimmer along the edges of the base. That gave me more than enough space to the sequins to move without making the shaker too bulky.

As you can see I mixed a bunch of different sequins packs (LOL). These new sequins are magical and so irresistible! I also added some Halo Medium (or chunky) glitter by Stampendous to the shaker, which is my go to glitter these days. To seal and complete the shaker backround, all I did is peel off the backing from the foam adhesive attach the foiled Clear Toner Sheet and then cover it with a thin frame cut from a blue patterned paper from the Echo Park Cartabella’s Summer Splash Collection. To cut this thin frame I layered 2 A2 Matting Basics Dies by Spellbinders. I attached it with a Sticky Dot Mini Tape Runner by Therm O Web and voila!

For the ice cream bouquet, I again watercolored it using Kuretake Zig Clean Color markers and fussy cut it with precision scissors. To make the card even more fun, I added a stitched tag die cut from patterned paper. The tag die is from Therm O Web’s Decorative Tag Set by Gina K and the paper is from the Echo Park Summer Dreams pad. I added a piece of white ribbon to the tag, which I tucked underneath the floral ice cream. To finish this off I added a banner with the printed birthday sentiment to one side of the card and adhered some sequins here and there with Mixed Media Adhesive.

Happiness

My third card features one more new digital stamp set called Happiness. This one comes with a super fun to color mason jar watermelon juice and lots of special sentiments. This set coordinates with Unity’s Happiness is Homemade (with the mason jar lemonade), and you could mix and match sentiments and images if you want to, since they were designed to work together.

Again, I watercolored this cute mason jar with Zig Clean Color markers. For my mason jar stamps, I like to layer different colors and also glitter, sequins and rhinestones to add movement to the interior. Somehow the different hues and the sparkle bring the mason jar to life, every time!

As for the card layout, this one is quite simple. I used patterned papers and a piece  of gold foiled Doodles Deco Foil Clear Toner Sheet, all layered and then added the sentiment as a tag, sideways, exactly like I did for the previous card!

You HAVE to try this out! As long as you have access to a computer and a printer, or to someone who can print the images for you, you are all set!
