Watercolored Roses

My favorite watercolor technique is actually watercolor resist… It is such an easy technique that gives you gorgeous results every time!

I used the new God Verses stamp set released for ODBD’s Anniversary Celebration. It is full of inspiring verses! The roses  were stamped and heat embossed in gold and then watercolored. For the layering I altered the Vintage Flourish Pattern filigree frame to create a small rectangular frame for the sentiment’s label. I also covered the front of the card with a gorgeous distress wood pattern from the Rustic Beauty Paper Collection and finished the card with ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post! I hope you try out this watercolor technique too! It’s an easy way to color stamped flowers and it’s a very quick process too! Since Spring is coming, I invite you to check out the beautiful flower stamps available at the ODBD website… You’ll love them!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!
