Altenew Roses

Early this year I received a gift card from my friend Dana from Got Joy Creations. With it I got a set I had been wanting to get for a while now from Altenew, called Vintage Roses… This is a multi-step stamping set that creates gorgeous flowers.

One of my new year’s resolution was to make more cards in Spanish. Based on that resolution I’ve also decided that I should use my stamps more. There are some stamp sets that I got last year that haven’t seen the light of day yet, and I don’t like that. I will keep trying to find time to create cards with older sets and try to add Spanish sentiments to them too.

This particular card was fun to make but I had to experiment about three times until I got the result I wanted. This set has many, many combination options and the stamped images are just stunning. I paired the floral images with a Spanish sentiment from Stampendous, that I heat embossed on vellum.

I haven’t made a bright floral card in a while, but I love how this one turned out and I think it’s perfect for Spring. I hope you enjoyed today’s post! For more ideas make sure you visit my galleries listed above (on my blog header tabs).

I will be back soon with more to share with you! Have a great day.

  1. Oh, Gracie, this is gorgeous! I love the color combination you've used with the beautiful background lattice-like die! Stunning! And these roses are so beautiful, along with your gold-embossed sentiment! Truly stunning! Good for you that you are trying to use stamps you've not used yet…I need to as well! Hugs, sweet friend…thanks for sharing this beauty!
