It’s a Blog Hop with lots of Blog Candy!

Hello and welcome to
Hiding in my Craft Room’s blog hop!

This week not only do we have a challenge but we also have a lot of blog candy to give away! Our challenge this week is called “Christmas in July”… A perfect opportunity to catch up on all the Christmas card making.

I wanted to make a nice, simple card, using traditional red, lime green and light brown. I like how nice this green looks against the red and how it matches the patterned paper, which is from one of my favorite Christmas sets from Shery K. Designs. I used leather, feuille and linen textured cardstocks. I embossed the red layer with a Cuttlebug folder and used a die from Spellbinders to cut the little deer. I find this die cut fits the design so very nicely! To finish the card I added gross grain ribbon in light brown and some small vynil stickers.

I hope I have inspired you to join our challenge this week!

Now, let’s talk giveaway please…

  2. Like the Reindeer card, with embellishing, embossing & wonderful papers. Thank you for the comments on my daughter's artwork. My daughter graduated from Kansas City Art Institute in KC, MO in May with degrees in Art Animation & Art History and is currently looking for career/job. She has applied to Hallmark in KC,MO and will go there in Aug where they are going to showcase her senior animation film and hopefully a career/job will come from it.
