Hello and welcome once again… The card for today was made using dies that were altered in one way or another to create new shapes. For example, the upper corners are actually the corners of a square die; the layer they frame is part of a grand label die; the doilies are in fact one doily cut in half and layered one over the other; the distressed square, was a long rectangle hand cut and rebuilt to fit the center of the card; the main center piece was stamped to frame the sentiment with two half doilies; and finally the pin, was handmade using jewelry materials and authentic crystals (DIY pins).
I got the stamp set used with this card precisely because of a sentiment, that expresses so much of what is on my mind all the time: ” It would be so nice if something made sense for a change” -Alice in Wonderland. I was born in the 80’s, but I feel the world has changed wildly in just a few decades, for good and/or worst. And if that wasn’t enough, everything in my personal life changed too. With the passing of my father and my health issues, things definitely went on a totally different direction. Some days I feel hopeless. This blog has given me the motivation and sense of belonging that I think I needed, because card making is one blessed thing that doesn’t tire me. I thank my husband and son. They are the main reason I keep going. And last but not at all least, thank you Lord almighty, your mercy sustains me each and everyday.

I wanted to give this card a very distressed look but I did add some sparkle when I clear embossed some parts of the center label.

If you go onto the Spellbinder's website, they have a form they can send you for you to purchase a new handle. I love your card, for some reason it reminds me of chocolate…maybe it's the color. Anyhow, good job.

Your card is gorgeous! I love the distressed look! My Grand Caliber handle broke, too. All you have to do is call Spellbinders and they will replace it. Mine was free because my machine was new, but it couldn't cost much if they charge you because it's just plastic. Thanks for joining us in his weeks Timeless Tuesday challenge!

THIS IS GORGEOUS GRACIELLE!!! I'm SO SORRY to hear of your problem with your Grand Caliber! 😦 I HOPE you find an answer as to where you can find a handle or a NEW MACHINE! Have you had the machine long? Maybe, there is a warranty? I would contact the maker of the Machine! SOMETIMES the makers are WONDERFULLY HELPFUL! BLESSING DEAR ONE!!! I'll be watching for you!!!!!:)
