Hey everyone… It’s no secret stencils are IN! And I’ve been planning to make a stenciled card for a while. I do not own any stencils yet, but I knew I could come up with something. I am the kind of crafter that has learned to multitask with one same die. This time it was no different. I made my own stencil from heavyweight paper and a Spellbinder die. This was the result:
I stamped a sentiment on vellum and finished it with some lilac gems. Very simple but colorful and fun card, and a perfect friendship Valentine’s card.
Materials
Spellbinders:
– Butterfly Magic
– Grand Calibur Die Cutting Machine
Colorbox Painbox Pigment Inks
Hero Arts – Friends are Treasures
Inkadinkado Embossing Powder – Hot Pink
Merletto Diamond Stickers
Imagine Crafts: Sponge Dauber
Other generic Materials
White heavyweight cardstock
Vellum
Hope you find it useful. Search your die collection, you may find something that could actually work as a stencil. That’s all for now. ‘Til next time!

Note: I did die cut the image first, and then use it as stencil. I didn’t use the actual die to stencil.
Just beautiful! Love the embossed vellum! Thanks for sharing your card with us at http://www.7kidscollegefund.com!
