Lovely One Layered Card

There’s something about me… I’ve been told I’m versatile, I don’t know if it’s that or if I am just able to enjoy almost any kind of things. I enjoy doing elaborate, super embellished cards, as well as simple one layered ones. The cards I have for today represent that minimalist part of me that I embrace on many aspects of my daily living and my philosophy for this year: “Take it eaaasy”.

Anyways, it all started when I saw some of the new products from Technique Tuesday at the recent CHA. They released some dies that you could actually replicate with dies you already own and a bit of will (like the Cool Tab Card, Heart Card, etc). I thought I would start trying to replicate that effect with a few cards. They also carry coordinating stamps, another thing I thought I could try to replicate too. I ended up creating the cutest butterfly window card. The beauty of them, is that they only required one die, embossing powder, and ink. I finished them with some ribbon and my DIY pearl pins.

  1. Beautiful cards in both colour schemes – I love all the interest from the various elements and the window and that sparkly embossing powder is lovely! Thanks so much for joining us at CASology this week!
